Earlier 35th BCS Preliminary exam took place on 6 March 2015. The exam was taken between 2 pm to 5 pm. The question type was MCQ in a more sophisticated and creative form. Besides, few critical analysis questions were also given there. Exam was took place according to the new syllabus throughout Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet. The total exam was in 200 marks. The marks distribution of 35th BCS Preliminary exam was as follows:
Bangle Language and Literature-35 marks
English Language and Literature: 35 marks
Bangladesh Affairs: 30 marks
International Affairs: 30 marks
